Our clients come from all walks of life with a variety of skills and passions – and our freelance content creators do, too. Content Journey is looking to hire great people with diverse backgrounds – it makes our company stronger and makes our clients stronger. 

Content Journey is a woman-owned business that is committed to inclusion and diversity – not just only in who we hire but also in the content we create. We’re looking for content creators who are passionate about what they write about, who are English-speaking, and can work remotely. 

We would love to hear from you if: 

  • You care about your audience and always think of them when writing. 
  • You write easy-to-read, educational, and informative articles. 
  • You aren’t afraid of challenging assignments and enjoy learning new things. 
  • You know how to do your research (side note: we provide quite a bit of resources for each post up front). 
  • You understand how content writing differs from academic writing. 
  • You understand the basics of how to optimize content for search engines. 

We are urgently hiring a writer for tax, accounting, and finance industries. 

Additionally, we are currently looking to fill freelance content creator positions for the following industries: 

  • eCommerce
  • Business taxes
  • Beauty 
  • Sports
  • Addiction treatment 
  • Mental health
  • Construction & Restoration 

However, we are always taking on new clients and would love to hear from freelancers who specialize in different industries. 

Freelance content creators are paid per article within a per word range of 950-1500, although some are longer form. Compensation ranges from $75-$120 per piece, with opportunities for bonuses and are paid out at the end of each month.

Director of Client Success: Camber Clemence

Hi, I’m Camber!

I recently joined Content Journey as the Director of Client Success. I am ecstatic to join Lindsey on this venture and be a part of this team.

I am a mama of two girls, an un-apologetic Swiftie, and an ice-cream aficionado.

Like millions across the US, I was laid off amid the pandemic. Before joining Lindsey at Content Journey, I worked in retail management and journalism. I also volunteer with Vote Save America and the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition. 

How I Ended Up at Content Journey.

After I was let go, I knew I wanted to use my time at home to transition out of brick and mortar retail into a client-interfacing role that would allow me to utilize the skills I have learned as a leader, a writer, and a grassroots volunteer. 

I believe that authenticity and empathy should permeate everything you do and that transparency is the foundation upon which relationships are built.

After months of searching, I was introduced to Cory Miller. Cory then introduced me to his wife Lindsey, who you may know as the Lead Guide here at Content Journey. After discussing the role, Lindsey invited me to be a part of her team as the Director of Client Success. I happily accepted and am so excited to be able to launch Content Journey alongside her.

Some may wonder how experience in retail leadership qualifies me for this role. I get it! If you’ve never worked in retail leadership, it can be hard to understand the many hats that leaders wear. I believe strongly in customer experience and success. I am adept in project management, customer experience and engagement, employee development, problem-solving, decision making, and business acumen. Beyond those skills, I am naturally a strategic thinker, a fact finder, and an excellent communicator. 

As a journalist, I excelled in capturing brand voice. Brand voice is the distinct personality of your business and it separates you from the crowd. What traits does your brand have? How does your brand speak? More importantly, that brand voice should be employed consistently across all communication platforms, both internally and externally. How you present yourself and your business to your consumers is paramount to building trust and relationships.

I believe that curiosity is the engine of achievement and I am so excited to see where we can go together.

At Content Journey, we work to define, develop, and distribute strategic and consistent content that is on-brand, relevant, and timely to your business. As the Director of Client Experience, it is my job specifically to ensure that every step leading up to the delivery of your content is executed with these markers in mind.

I would be remiss to not acknowledge all of the people who helped me on my path to joining Content Journey. I would specifically like to thank Andrew Norcross. Andrew has been one of my biggest cheerleaders since the day we met. He has watched me struggle to maintain work/life balance while working retail, listened to me wax poetically about company culture, and read countless resumes and cover letters. Without Andrew in my corner, it’s unlikely I would have met Cory or Lindsey and I wouldn’t be embarking on this amazing adventure with Content Journey.

Of course, to Cory and Lindsey: Thank you for seeing in me what others wouldn’t bother looking for. Lindsey, I am so excited to do big things with you. Congratulations on your launch!

Announcing Content Journey

Today, I’m excited to announce my newest endeavor — Content Journey — providing high-quality, search engine optimized content for small businesses and “be an extension of your marketing team” as one of our clients recently said.

Every good digital marketing strategy includes a healthy dose of content marketing.

But small businesses often don’t have the time or energy to consistently produce great content.

That’s a big problem … and why I created Content Journey.

What Led Me Here

Over the years, I watched my spouse, Cory Miller, as he navigated the world of online digital products. His primary focus for customer acquisition was driven through great consistent content that educates and teaches.

Then over the last 3+ years at Liquid Web in various marketing roles, I got to transfer and apply my skills and experiences I gained in political fundraising to help build and grow our Managed WordPress hosting products and community.

Before my first WordCamp talk

Not only did Chris Lema take me under his wing and give me the opportunity to pivot my career into marketing, but during my time at Liquid Web, I was fortunate enough to get to work some amazing people, including (but not limited to) Terry Trout, Jessica Frick, Rhonda Capone, Carrie Wheeler, Joe Oesterling and briefly, Rachel Martin.

All of whom taught me so much and bolstered my confidence. It really felt like all the work I had done over the years had brought me to this place where I could not only contribute, but learn and make a difference. (Thank you so much!)

In so many ways I know I am standing on the shoulders of giants.

I have literally learned from the best and I want to leverage all that I have learned to pass it along. I feel best when I am helping others. It is why I subscribed wholeheartedly to “Make People’s Lives Awesome” at iThemes.

And in my own way I am ready to do that again.

In fact, I learned and reaffirmed something about myself through this whole path …

Never Go Alone

I wouldn’t have Content Journey without Cory Miller’s love and support. The road here has been filled with learning experiences that have only made this offering and me stronger. But Content Journey and I wouldn’t be here without him.

Next, AJ Morris has been a solid friend who I have relied on. And this website and amazing design wouldn’t exist without him putting up with me.

I am also lucky enough to have found the first member of the Content Journey team, Camber Clemence (you can read about her here).

We have been working together a few weeks and it might as well have been years. We are a great team. Camber brings amazing talents to the table including a strong writing ability, organization that I desperately need and a fresh set of eyes to help deliver high quality content for our clients. And I would be lying if I didn’t love that she too is going on her own career journey using her skills gained in retail and applying them to digital experiences.
