I don’t make promises that I can’t keep. So if you came here to read that content would increase your business by a certain percentage this year, that’s not what you will get from this post. In fact, I discourage you from working with anyone who will make those kinds of promises of quick and specific results. They’re probably misleading you. But I will tell you realistically in this post what content can do for your business this year. 

What is Content Marketing?

Before we go any further, I want to make sure you understand content marketing. If you have a good grasp of the concept, you can go ahead and skip down to the next section. 

Content marketing is creating and sharing content that helps you connect with and serve your audience. Instead of explicitly promoting your brand, products, or services, you distribute relevant and helpful content related to questions your audience has and are likely to search online to answer.

I won’t guarantee that content marketing will result in a specific increase in sales this year. But I can promise you that embracing content marketing this year can result in positive results for your business. And those positive outcomes, if handled properly, are likely to result in increased sales and customer loyalty.
